How did you find this particular group? (word of mouth? internet? etc.)

Through Lisa Fernandez and her permaculture courses.

What interests you about this particular group?

Collaborating with people who share a common value system of care of the earth, care of people and fair share.

Are you living/gardening/growing predominantly in an urban, suburban or rural setting?

My husband and I have a 3.5 acres of south-facing field, old apple trees and six new ones (two years old), surrounded by woods, and a swale of water that runs year round. HEAVEN, all of it. Compared to Portland, our Freeport setting is rural, but actually, let's face it, this is a rural suburbia.

I grow elderberry at The Bailey Farm, and I own the Bailey Farm Elderberry Cooperative (BFEC), a network of growers. As a health coach at Immunity First I focus on immune system boosting as the most important first step to health and wellness.
