How did you find this particular group? (word of mouth? internet? etc.)

I am a member of another Meetup group and this one was recommended to me by the computer.

What interests you about this particular group?

My family and I have owned our home for 3 years, and we are learning to forage and grow our own food (and other items, such as fiber) while making our yard more wildlife- and eco-friendly and being involved in our community. I have always believed in a permaculture approach to gardening and life, even before I knew it had a name, and I was very glad to hear about this group, as I would love to be able to share ideas with others!

Are you living/gardening/growing predominantly in an urban, suburban or rural setting?

We are in the center of Gray, so I guess that would be considered suburban.

I live on 3/4 of an acre in Gray, Maine, with my chiropractor husband and four children. I am a Buddhist and a vegetarian interested in living and teaching my children to live kindly, sustainably, and mindfully.
