How did you find this particular group? (word of mouth? internet? etc.)

i found this group thru Lisa at the summer 2008 permaculture design course with Charles and Julia Yelton. Excelsior!

What interests you about this particular group?

That lots of other people have more and different experience that i can learn from. Gardening techniques, alternative technologies, Transition Towns, facing Peak Oil and Climate Change without becoming paralyzed.

Are you living/gardening/growing predominantly in an urban, suburban or rural setting?

i think we're in a rural setting, but it's awfully close to a town. (Whatever 'urban' means in Maine ;-)

We've been designing permaculture systems since 2009 and began the development of our homestead system in 2010. We practice resilient whole systems design, small scale agroforestry, alley cropping and livestock integration. Teaching since 2012.

What Jesse W. is saying about this Meetup Group

Maine is also exceedingly fortunate to have the Portland Maine Permaculture crew doing all that it does. I think we have a good thing going here....
