The Resilience Hub & Portland Maine Permaculture Message Board › Live-in Permaculture Intern Experience in Gouldsboro Maine
Hi Friends, John and Irene are at Zocalo in Gouldsboro Maine (downeast, across the bay from Bar Harbor) and they have some amazing stuff going on there...permaculture, post-carbon living techniques, etc. They continue to open their place to people who want to live there, learn, etc. perhaps with a long-term arrangement being possible. Call them if you'd like to visit (207-461-6631). This is the current notice from them:
Are you interested in ecological design, regenerative food systems, perennial vegetables, self-sufficiency, off-grid living, natural building, and other fun permaculture stuff?!
Zocalo invites permaculture designers ,students, teachers, families, etc.. to visit or get involved.
The site is NOW perfect for winter visiting (and to consider your plans for the future). There are 3 different kinds of greenhouses (experimental) and a cob studio/house, alternative energy examples, small livestock, perennial crops, alt-energy transportation models...all to see and 'feel.' Many examples of integrating permaculture into a homestead.
