The Resilience Hub & Portland Maine Permaculture Message Board › Slow Food Portland FiddleFest June 1st
With warmer weather and spring rains here, it's time to start looking
forward to fresh Maine foods! And first on many people's list is the
Fiddlehead. Plan to join us for Slow Food Portland's annual spring
fling, Fiddlefest, where we will be enjoying Fiddleheads and other
early spring foods. This year we are holding it on Sunday June 1st
from 4 to 7 pm at SMCC's dining hall. Among the activities and events
planned are music from the Poor Valley Salvation Society from 5 to 7,
a mead tasting, and of course lots of great tastes and flavors from
local chefs. This year we are holding the event slightly later in the
year than in the past to give the chefs a chance to use other Maine
spring crops and forageables.
