Do you play the Ukulele?

A tad better week by week! Exciting being able to play chords that once seemed impossible :-) Love the ukulele sound.

What is your experience level?

Intermediate Beginner. Always learning from the wonderful Mainline Uke folks.

What types of Ukuleles do you have?

Kala soprano

Do you play any other instruments other than the Uke?

In another lifetime far far away, played a bit of piano; would pick up recorder & Irish whistle now and then.

Having so much fun making music with my daughter (& fellow ukers & ukistas!)

What Linda is saying about this Meetup Group

The group as a whole is growing and adding new, regular venues. Wonderful to see a ukulele community jelling. I primarily go to the Thursday evenings at (Jake's) Troubadour Music Shop in Wayne. Have met wonderful people there. I started coming as a complete and utter newbie (playing and singing)(didn't have my own uke yet -- Jake is happy to let you use one of their ukes to play your first few times) and everyone was welcoming and encouraging. A very relaxed group. They play the entire range of musical genres and time periods. It's a joy discovering new songs, re-discovering ones I didn't recognize by title, as well as playing the much-loved hits. (Everyone is welcome to bring copies of whatever song(s) they would like the group to play, as well.) They've shown me many a good playing tip. Great fun. Making music together is the best!
