Make:SF at RockIT Colabs April 8th

Hello Makers,

We are traveling this month to various maker spaces in the Bay Area. This week we are going to RockIT Colabs which is a co-working space on the edge of the SF Chinatown. They also hosts many cool meet ups and they have an electronics lab,  vinyl cutter, 3d printer, and an Othermill CNC. There will be a tour of the space and then Kris will take us through the project for this month which is to 3D print a LED Flashlight. We will go through all the tools you need to start 3D printing and how to run the machine. The best part is that this workshop is sponsored by RockIT Colabs so it will be free! Also if you get the chance you should ask Kris about his Hat Knitting Machine.

And, we want to see the cool stuff you all are doing! So email us if you have something you want to show off and we will arrange a demo.

See you there!
A fun-for-all-ages event. Children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult.

See you soon!

Hi, I'd like to come by if there's a space left for me, and maybe present my project. I'm a resident teacher teacher, I'll be hosting crafts workshops and social design classes in Oakland for a month.

I have a short slideshow ready if that could work, and if not feel free to check

In detail, this is what will happen:

/ Intro to Social & Humanitarian Design
/ A&Ré Design Approach to Upcycling DESIGN COURSES
/ Product and System Design for Social Good
/ Design 101 : Intro to Product Design
/ Pimp Your Hood with Collaborative Social Design + Dinner

    / Concrete Design Workshop
    / Low-Cost Silicone Mould Workshop
/ Reclaimed Paper Pulp Lampshades Workshop

Looking forward to running those classes, hopefully I'll get to meet some of you there.

Thanks! I have a bit of a conflict too, which might cause me to be half an hour late, is that ok with the organisers?

They don't seem to be available, so just show up unless they tell you otherwise. :-) and please take notes for me. I really wanted to attend this. ..
