Make:SF @ TechLiminal Thursday July 5th

Hello Makers,

This month we have Printrbots and Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream! (And in Oakland, reps from Laney College)

Our guest speaker Mr. Brook Drumm a KickStarter entrepreneur, will be coming down from Lincoln, CA to speak with us about his successful launch of Printrbot which was 3,323% funded! Not a bad way to start a business. Learn more about the amazing affordable Printrbot 3D printer here:
http://www.printrbot.com

Did you know you could take courses in machining, woodworking, and solar installation right in downtown Oakland? Representatives from Laney College will be speaking briefly about courses they offer to those interested in gaining some serious Maker skills.

After the presentations we'll be making small batches of custom DIY ice cream! Now is your chance to try out your home made Vanilla (Have you been shaking your extract bottle every month? It should be ready by now.) Or find a recipe at AllRecipes, Instructables, or just improvise. Bring a large metal bowl and a long handled wooden spoon.

Thanks to our member ship dues collection the cost for this mini-project will be just $5. (Join now and your membership will be good through Dec 2012.)

Here's an instructable as an example:
