Make:SF Nov 6th @ Tech Liminal

Hello Makers,

We want to see the cool stuff you all are doing! So email us if you have something you want to show off and we will arrange a demo to start off.

The workshop this month will teach you the basics of stop-motion animation through a hands-on approach. Each participant will go through the process of making their own short stop-motion fim. The workshop will cover setting up your scene, shooting / animating your scene, loading the results into your computer, and editing the finished product. I'll bring some random stuff that you can use in your animation, but you're encouraged to bring your own things.

You'll need to bring...

- A digital camera, or any device that can take photos (iPods, smartphones, etc). Make sure you've got plenty of room on the device because we'll be taking a lot of photos.

- Stuff to animate! This can be practically anything -- clay, action figures, inanimate objects, legos -- whatever sparks your imagination.

- A tripod and/or phone phone holder if you have one. They make filming much easier and smoother.

- A laptop. This is optional, but the workshop will cover loading and animating your photos, so you can follow along if you bring one. Software for both Windows and Mac will be covered.

A fun-for-all-ages event, Children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult.

See you soon!
