This same workshop is offered in our nude male meetup too (although at this workshop we will not be featuring nudity).
This two hour workshop will teach you about makeup and posing as applied to male models. The session will be lead by (Ian Jacob) Jake and Billy (makeup). Billy will start by discussing makeup for male photography and then proceed to demonstrate on Jake. We will also discuss body painting using paint and chalk.
I have had two opportunities to photograph Jake in my studio, and I am very impressed with his natural posing abilities and overall creative approach to modeling. You can see the results of our two shoots at these links -
(SET 7B - http://www.imagesmale.com/#!model-gallery-7/c1xj3 and SET 6H http://www.imagesmale.com/#!model-gallery-6/c1fy0)
Jake will discuss getting to know your body and we will do some demonstration shooting. He will discuss posing to create a visual message, and tips and tricks photographers and models alike have shared with him. We also plan to offer you a chance to be in front of the camera (as a model) while Jake provides some direction and ideas on how you can best pose. Additionally, if times allows, photographers can practice posing Jake to apply what they have learned in the session.
This is not a full two hour active photo shoot workshop (as the others have been), rather, there will be more of a focus on lecture with some limited time to practice techniques that are discussed. All will be actively encouraged to share their ideas on the topic as we go through the session. Brief handouts will be referenced.
If you can not attend after you register and you provide at least one day notice, you may apply 50% of the workshop fee to a future event.
SEEKING CONTENT FOR FUTURE WORKSHOPS - If you would like to lead a workshop on a topic (e.g. studio lighting, natural lighting on-site, post production editing, business of photography, or some other topic, please contact [masked] so we can discuss). Workshop content leaders will receive a fee per participant and most workshops are designed to be two hours.
