Alien - I love Jerry Goldsmith's score for Alien, although it was tinkered with (for the better). I don't think that he was impressed.

Monsieur Hire - I film that I have seen once many years ago, but the score has seared itself onto my brain forever.

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly - Any Morricone is good. Even his cheesy sixties Italian films.I have Morricone in the Brain in my archives somewhere.

The Long Good Friday - Still the best British gangster film by far.

(Featuring lots of famous actors looking really young).

Yes, Charlie from Casualty. I do have a soft spot for Daltrey belting it out in McVicar. I love incidental bits in scores, not necessarily the main score.

This tune stayed in my head for ages after seeing True Romance, one of Mr Tarantino's earlier efforts. Yup, back in the old days before he got all sweary, QT wrote romcoms...

I once met Alex Cox at the Liverpool Beer Festival, of all places. Talking films over a pint of real ale with a real director: how cool is that?
