What's your Film of the Year?

We've seen some great films this year - and a few really bad ones! We've narrowed it down to a top twelve - let us know which you thought was the best of 2010.

What's has been your favourite film this year?

What's been your favourite meetup film this year? I've only added films we've seen this year (so no Zombieland!) but even if you didn't see the film at one of our meetups please vote. You can discuss your favourites on the message board!

When would you like to have a Xmas meetup?

Our December meetup would normally fall on the 12th, but that would mean a month till the next one. Would you prefer to stick with that date or move to the 19th - when there might even be a Xmas film showing at the Cornerhouse! Thanks. A strong early showing for the 19th - if we choose this date we'll need a venue too as Odder has an event on. Any suggestions welcome on the message board.

What films should we see at the March 7th Meetup?

Tricky one next time as it's the Latin American Film Festival at the Cornerhouse. The Class, which looks really good is on, but either earlier (2pm) or later (5.45pm) than we usually meet! The Spanish language films at approx the same time look ok too. After 20 votes only 3 were in for the AMC so we've taken it off to make it a straight early/late poll. If you fancy going to see Gran Torino or Watechmen just email me and we'll see if we can get a few people together one of the other days. As we're having to consult this week anyway, then we'd love to hear any comments/ideas you have about the film meetups. Matt M

Where should we socialise if we go to the AMC?

Are your legs too short to carry you the 800 metres from the AMC to Odder? Here are some alternatives - none of which are particularly lovely but they're biggish and nearer. If anyone knows any better choices nearby let me know - we need somewhere spacious that does food. You can rate these in order of preference. The area around the Odeon is a little busy, unless we sell our souls to the devil and go somewhere in the printworks. TV21 is probably the only northern quarter bar big enough which does food if you don't mind a little grunge. If you know anywhere near the Odeon please let me know. Matt M
