Tai Chi (太极拳) is an internal Chinese Martial Art that practiced for three aspects: health, meditation and personal defense.
As the first Tai Chi experience for most of us, this Class will last 30~40 minutes. Sifu (Master) William Wang, will teach (in both English and Mandarin) the most basic Tai Chi movement and introduce some key ideas of Tai Chi.
Trust the environment in central park in the early morning would perfectly match the core idea of Tai Chi, which is peace and clam.
*We are going to do a poll at the end of this class. If the interest is high, we might hold this Tai Chi practise as a regular class twice a month.
I will meet you all at the parking spot near Lower Pond lake.
· If you are driving, you can enter from the entry on Imperial St. , and there is only one way from there to the lake side parking.
· If you are taking Sky Train, please take Expo line or Millennium Line and get off at Patterson station. You will need to take little bit of walk from Patterson station to the Lower Pond lake parking.
Please note that there are two small lakes in Central park, the Upper and Lower Pond Lake. Master William Wang will meet you at the Lower Pond lake parking spot, he will hold a sign as "Vancouver Mandarin Chinese Club", so that you can recognize our party :P
