True Rest Yoga Nidra

True Rest is a guided meditation for relieving stress, easing suffering and awakening to timeless being. No prior experience of meditation is necessary, as no effort is required other than to lie down and listen. This alone is a great relief in the competitive and stressful times we live in! In True Rest we are invited to put aside all our habitual roles and identifications as we gently explore the realms of the body, mind, and world with no agenda to change, fix or alter anything about them. Rather, we welcome the flow of experience as it unfolds moment by moment, whilst resting in and as the aware presence underlying and permeating this flow. In this openness, layers of accumulated physical, mental and emotional tension are released. The practice takes place in a safe and nurturing environment that facilitates this deep listening. True Rest is a deeply restorative and highly therapeutic practice, which ultimately leads to the direct experience of ourselves as peace itself.

I immediately fell in love with the ancient Tantric practice of Yoga Nidra when I first encountered it over 14 years ago and I knew straight away that it was something I wanted to study in depth and share with others. I recognised Yoga Nidra’s healing potential, which I have experienced first hand. True Rest is the culmination of more than twenty years of studying many styles of meditation and Yoga Nidra in particular. As this journey has unfolded, both my understanding and method of teaching meditation has evolved. I offer True Rest in the hope that its impact reaches beyond the immediate, profoundly relaxing benefits it delivers and helps people to meet the challenges of their everyday lives with greater equanimity.
