Tomo Neko Maid & Butler Cafe: Staff Recruitment Day =^.^=

Our annual Maid & Butler Cafe for Charity is back!
This year's event will take place Sunday April 28th, 12PM-5PM
Little Tokyo: Japanese American National Museum
Benefitting the Trevor Project. (
And we are looking for staff to be the beating heart that makes it awesome.

For those are unfamiliar, Tomo Neko is an enhanced Maid & Butler Cosplay Cafe that fundraises for a new cause every year.  We book entertainment acts, maids and butlers that serve as their own original character (or preferred versions of themselves), and invite Special Guests.  Last year for example we had Crispin Freeman, Cristina Vee, and Richard Epcar.  We also have additional fun features such as gaming, photography, raffles, art auction, and yummy food.  All for a good cause.

This year, our charity is the Trevor Project.
The Trevor Project is devoted to crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for teenagers. This includes counseling, anti-bullying programs, and a focus for the LGBT community.

Our theme for 2013: Inner Strength to Overcome Obstacles

Would YOU like to be a part of it?
Then we'd love to see you at our Recruitment Event!

We are looking to fill the following positions:
* Maids    (training before the event)
* Butlers  (training before the event)
* Kitchen (training before the event) 
* Misc Cosplay Staff
* Misc Non-Cosplay Staff
* Security

and specialty positions that include
* Photography
* Graphic Design
* Web
* Kitchen Leader
* Drawing anime/manga style
* Video shooting/editing

For your time, we can offer you:
* special staff-only discounts with our business partners
* Since we are an official 501(c)(3) org, this would be a job reference
* for cosplay staff: an anime-ized drawing of yourself and a trading card
* offers for occasional free or reduced rates to local cons
* friendship
* the joy of giving

NEW: This year, we'd also like to have special (optional) social get-togethers, just for the staff.  This can include Black Butler viewings, Ouron Host Club parties, or helping out at the LA Food Bank.

NEW: Trainings for Maids & Butlers will be no more than 3 training sessions, with more makeup options available.  Makeups can be either an alternate day/location, skype or phone, dependant on convenience.  Though we will still highly encourage attendance at the IRL meetings, for interaction.

To get to the Recruitment Event:
Nearby the Blue Line 7th and Metro stop.  There are also paid parking lots, usually costing about $5-6. One nearby parking lot is on the NW corner of 2nd and Hill. When approaching on 2nd Street, you’ll see a road that splits into a hill and a tunnel – make sure to go up the hill, not through the tunnel.

When at 225 S Olive, please go to the 3rd floor.  Please follow signs for "Social Area".  We're right across from the laundry room.  If you have trouble finding us or getting in, please call[masked] or[masked]
