I agree that about the late start but I don't think that the next one should be a late starter though. I think that for the next one we should all be there on time since everybody is bringing something. And yes, that includes me.

  • Derek

I think the threat of rain kept many away, which was unfortunate since it ended up being a beautiful day out there. Think that also contributed to people getting there so late. No more 2pm starts for these things.

  • Juan "DerC" M.

We got a little bit of a late start, but otherwise we all had a great time

    June 26, 2011

  • Theo

    no fireworks

    June 26, 2011

  • thesubcon3

Good stuff but you shouldn't have a meetup and a majority of the people don't show until after 4 hours late...

    June 26, 2011

  • Derek

Well, the rain never showed, the weather held up all day.

    June 26, 2011

  • thesubcon3

Well it's pouring in browsed and it's moving to the beach right where we are having the picnic.

    June 25, 2011

  • Melida

    None whatsoever.

    June 25, 2011

Here's a thought. How am I heating these damn things up when I get there?

    June 24, 2011

  • Melida

Yes please. Sorry I forgot to say it sooner :-/

But look at the bright side ... I'm bringing cake xD

    June 24, 2011

  • Derek

So I guess I'll need to be there on time.

    June 24, 2011

  • Melida

Between class and Troy, I will not be there until 4:pm - save me bacon log and gyoza

    Please

    June 24, 2011

  • Chris

Right, I just finished folding all the gyoza skin (about 60 ish, thought I'd have more, but apparently the recipe expects gyoza with hardly any filling), and I can now officially say it's a pain in the ass. Y'all better appreciate my sacrifice here!

  • Melida

    I'm not bringing potato balls.

    June 23, 2011

  • Derek

Just got back from the store, and changed what I'm bringing. Instead of burgers, I'm bringing chicken, which I will grill.

Bahahaha! I was going to say something about that, but didn't. Must have been converted with all that black booty he's watching - and I don't mean in prison. Bonus points for the 'tata salad, too.
And here comes the obligatory Rina...CHICKENNNNN!!!!!!!

    1 · June 23, 2011

  • Derek

I think DerC is black, cause he brings fried chicken to every party. I'm just sayin...

    June 23, 2011

  • Juan "DerC" M.

Here's what I'll bring: Cooler and some more ice, potato salad, sodas, fried chicken...don't know what else I'll bring

Sub, if your wife cooks as good as I've heard, she totally needs to be in the ultimate wing challenge. The goal is to utterly destroy Nick, so we need as much stuff competition as possible.
I'd also like her jambalaya recipe, if she's willing to share. I made one once, and I don't even remember how I made it. >_<

    June 22, 2011

  • Derek

I can deal with spicy, and I may bring a pack of sausage to add to it.

    June 22, 2011

  • Derek

Oh man, that jambalaya at the Mardi Gras party was incredible!! I couldn't stop eating it, just awesomeness.

    June 22, 2011

  • Melida

Oh sure, no pressure. Remember I'm only making the rice...

    June 22, 2011

  • thesubcon3

Hopefully it's as good as my wife's jambalaya she made at the Mardi Gras party! Also Andrea said that she always has to make something for parties so we'll be bring her "crack dip". Whoever is bring chips please bring at least one bag of tostidos...

    June 22, 2011

  • Melida

Does anyone have issues with spicy food? I'm planning on making jambalaya rice minus the sausage (figure you van add that at the BBQ)

    June 22, 2011

  • Jennifer

Maybe more meat and whatever else that may catch my eye!

    June 22, 2011

  • Derek

    Yay Jen!!

    June 22, 2011

  • Melida

    What's the etc?

    June 22, 2011

  • Jennifer

I can get the charcoal. I will also get some meat..Hot dogs..Steak..Etc. I will also pick up some iced tea.

    June 21, 2011

  • Derek

Can someone bring a bag of charcoal? I can get one, but I think two would be optimal.

    June 21, 2011

  • Jennifer

Ah, KK. Thank you to, Melida's sister!! ^_^.

    June 20, 2011

    1 · June 20, 2011

  • Jennifer

    Cake?...We need cake right?????

    June 20, 2011

  • Melida

I'm bringing cooler and ice, rice and potato balls.

    June 20, 2011

  • Derek

We'll take what we can get.

    June 20, 2011

  • thesubcon3

Ok so we will bring Napkins, Mustard, Ketchup, and Soda. Andrea could make her Crack Dip, however we are going to the Swap Shop in the morning and it wouldn't be any good by 2pm MAD time.

    June 20, 2011

  • Chris

Alright. I don't know how they're going to turn out reheated, but I'll provide a bucket o' gyoza. There, the token Japanese food requirement is fulfilled.

    June 20, 2011

  • Melida

Dogs are allowed in the park area as long as they are on a leash

    June 20, 2011

  • Bobbi M.

I'll bring plates and cutlery. I can carry that on my cycle.

    June 20, 2011

  • Derek

Well, then I guess we need to start figuring out what people will be bringing.

    June 17, 2011

  • Derek

    Booby Trap!!!

    June 17, 2011

  • thesubcon3

Well then the Booby Trap it is! They are NICE LADIES!

    June 15, 2011

  • Melida

Actually, I listen to a lot more feedback than you think I do. After reading the comments and taking into consideration what we all want to do (stay late, fireworks, etc.), the beach is really the best place. Until anyone finds a place that will offer us the same, then the beach it is and will be.

Lol, I love how Melida asking for feedback on stuff usually means "I've already made up my mind on the matter, but I want you guys to feel like you had a say in it." Like "preferably Japanese" means "it better be Japanese!" Guess this will be taking place at a beach somewhere.
