I started this Meetup to create a community of small business owners interested in helping one another get more clients. I love to connect the right people to the right resources. I am passionate about teaching how to market easily and effectively.

What are you doing now to attract clients?

Providing excellent service to my existing clients. Sharing information and support with my network. Speaking, blogging, writing, presenting workshops. I serve on the Board of Directors for BACN, NCMUG and the Sonoma/Marin ewomennetwork chapter.

What is the biggest challenge you currently face in your business?

Getting out of my own way - keeping a positive mindset.

Do you have a reliable system for following up with prospects?

I have a great system for following up with prospects. I teach my clients how to create a similar system that works for their business.

How would you describe your business in one sentence?

Visual and Verbal Communications that start conversations and turn prospects into clients.

How long have you been in business?

Over 15 years - blending communications, graphic design, organizational development and marketing skills into my current business, Completely Creative.

I was signed up to attend my first meeting this evening (June 6) at the Palms Restaurant and found no one there. Didn't find out it was cancelled until I returned and went to the website. Do you normally email folks if the meeting is cancelled (?) or do we need to check the website beforehand?

I do not know if your Meetup Group would be interested, but there is a free grant-writing seminar coming to Hidden Valley Lake on April 15th, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. You can learn more about it and RSVP by going to www.squidoo.com/TMMF and clicking the Evite invitation link. This seminar is being done by The Foundation Center of San Francisco. No one does what they do better. And, this is only their second foray into Lake County in their 53-year history.
