Who should join this group?
Anyone wanting to get FIT with MMA-Fitness-Training and learn in a controlled environment (NO EGO'S) to defend themselves by trading techniqes with a group in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Beginner and Advanced are welcome!

MMA-Fitness Training and techniques are the focus. Sparring is not prohibited but should only be practiced between 2 experienced and consenting partners. You MUST be 18 or older to attend. The purpose of this group is to have fun and learn by training with each other as follows:

1) Begin meet-up training with the basics - running, jumping rope, push ups, sit ups, supporting each other and teaching new forms and exercises.
2) Learn by sharing techiques - punches, kicks, elbows, knees, throws, joint locks, chokes, etc. with one another to improve ourselves and our MMA/self-defense cabilities. The simple conversations during training are great learning experiences!

Example: I have trained Muay Thai for years. I would like to trade techniques with a Jiu Jitsu specialist.

Our meetups are fun, cardio-filled workouts (Or sometimes PPV events). Workouts are outdoors or sometimes indoors. We train at miscellaneous locations in the great outdoors including Mount Yonah or "The Big Field". Sometimes we train in SUPERB facilities such as "Crossfit" of Gainesville with Krav Maga Level II Instructor Mark Wilkes OR at Popham Athletics with wrestling guru Bobby Popham.
