Welcome to Maryland Museum and History Group

Maryland Museum and History Group's mission is to introduce members to the history of Maryland through guided tours.

The museums and historic events I book tend to be unique and non-conventional. It is rare for an event to be at the Aquarium or Science Center or Art museum however occasionally there will be a special event posted.

There is no fee to be a member of Maryland Museum and History Group however most events have a small donation or tour fee for the guided tour.

A Very Big Thank You to active members because without you coming out, it would be impossible to book any group guided tours which end up being specialized or ones that require 10+ people to attend!

In order to maintain an active participating member list, if you have not attended or visited this website in 6 months AND RSVP YES OR NO, I will be removing you from the list and assume lack of interest. Since the organizers put their unpaid time and effort into finding guided tours and museums and I personally pay for this site to stay up, I have the right to make group rules. I would rather have 30 active members then 1000 inactive members!

Beginning 2012, some events will require a $1 RSVP fee to deter from no shows.

As Of 4/20/2011 anyone who wishes to become a member must be approved.

I might do that! Let me talk to my MIL, as she will be coming with me. I would much rather do it with someone that knows where to go. Thanks!

Kevin Bowman, a Senior Interpreter for Morven Mansion requests that we arrive at 10:45am to be sure we are paid up and on the 11am tour. They only take small groups of around 10 at a time so if someone else would like to host a second group for an hour later, do so. Only those who are on the Yes list have priority for the 11am tour.
