Thanks again for a great shindig last night! Always appreciate good company and people brave enough to let random miscreants into their home. :)

If anyone's looking for me outside Meetup.com, I'm the only Trevor Gryffyn on Facebook or G+ (G+ is my preferred venue of craziness since most of my family isn't on there yet hah)

We're also late (as usual.) This wild boar... I don't know, guys. I think I figured out why we switched to farm raised meat. Anyway, we'll be there by 8:30.

I wish I could make it .... sounds like a great evening. Just a little far to travel for me. I'll do my best to make it one of these times though!

Please dress appropriately. Let's avoid jeans. Let's make an effort to make this event memorable in a good way.

Unusual request, I'd like to get a hold of some 5'x7' area rugs for Friday. If anyone knows someone who wants to part with an old rug. Please have them contact me.

I'm going to do the roast pork and wild boar sauce. So Angela, if you could do the Christmas pudding, that would be terrific. What is everyone wearing?

A suit. I'll have work on a medieval garb for next year.

Hello, is it too last minute to join? If not, I'll bring a traditional English Christmas pudding.

    December 10, 2013

    • Jörgen

No, please , more people the merrier. I think someone else might bring one but all the people, a second couldn't hurt.

I'll post a proposed menu later today :-)

    November 16, 2013

    • Jörgen

Will that be a mincemeat pie or another type of dish?

Probably mincemeat in some kind of pastry. If a pie is most authentically period, then probably that..! Expect actual meat in the mince, unlike currrent recipes.

I'll be reworking the menu into a basic 3 course meal.

so we are looking at around 12-14 people? I am trying to decide if I'm going to do1-2 full size pies, or try individual ones, may try a bit of both.

      Shoot for 14

ok so I think Im going to try my hand at doing the Rabbit and Cranberries. Im pretty sure I can get rabbit at the H-Mart in Catonsville.

    http://www.metro.ca/recipes/beer-braised-rabbit-with-cranberries.en.html

That is the recipe I intend on using. Let me know if this is good and Ill bring it.

I can bring those too but they have to be done on the spot. They are something that must be cooked and consumed shortly after or they lose their appeal

      November 30, 2013

    • Aaron H.

If hmart doesnt have any rabbits, there is either Lotte plaza down the road or Trueth meatpackers in Oella http://www.jwtreuth.c... not far from them.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
