I'm originally from West Hartford, CT but I currently live in Brighton, MA.
Although I'm a software engineer, I love getting out of the office and spending time outdoors. I've gone camping and hiking dozens of times both locally and internationally. Last year I hiked the Inca Trail in Peru with a small group and I thought it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. It was an eye opening experience however because it made me realize how little I know about wilderness survival. What if something went wrong on a hike? What if someone I'm with gets hurt or I get lost? I was a boy scout when I was a child but I forgot many of the skills I once knew. I hope to work with other like minded people to rebuild these skills so I can be prepared in the wild. Im also looking for excuses to get outside and enjoy nature.
I've been living in the Boston area for about five years and moved here from CT. I'm a software engineer so I'm very technical, but I love meeting new people and have a huge respect for nature/survival which is why I was drawn to this group.
