The Salem Massachusetts Wiccan Meetup

Astrology is the art and science of understanding our unique soul blueprint and place within the collective of humanity through the language of planetary movement and cosmic energy exchange.

Join us on Friday April 26, 2024 from 6:30 - 9:30pm for our Introduction to Astrology Class Series. In this beginner level intro to astrology series we will focus on learning about the different components of astrology - houses, signs, planets, aspects, and bring it all together in class 5 where we will spend time learning to read natal charts.

In our first class we focused on the Planets of our Solar System (with a few other friends!) and their influences. In class 2, we will learn how these planets have rulership over the 12 signs of the zodiac, and how these signs influence us in turn.

We will meet every Friday for 5 weeks at 6:30pm, the schedule of classes will be as follows:

Friday, April 19th: class 1 - Planets
Friday, April 26th: class 2 - Signs of the zodiac
Friday, May 3rd: class 3 - The House System
Friday, May 10th: class 4 - Understanding Aspects
Friday, May 17th: class 5 - Tying it all together - basic Natal Chart reading

*Upon signing up, PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR BIRTH INFORMATION to your organizer- this includes the following: BIRTH DAY, MONTH & YEAR, the EXACT TIME OF BIRTH, and TOWN OF BIRTH. This information will be used to draw up your individual natal chart which we will be reflecting on and learning to read throughout the five classes.

About your teacher: Shelley Holloway, has over 30 years experience studying astrology. Shelley offers private natal chart readings and astrological counseling with a focus on Karmic Astrology, which helps us gain insight into the lessons we have come into this lifetime to learn and our path to healing and transformation.

Join us Sunday May 5, 2024, 4:00 pm for our Open Beltane Maypole Ritual !!!
Come get your Faery Frolic On! Join with us to celebrate the height of Spring, the greening of the Earth and the magic of life at full bloom! We will dance the Maypole and crown our May "King" & "Queen" in celebration of the generative powers of the Goddess and God and the joy of the unity we share with them.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN RIBBON FOR THE MAYPOLE - 15-18 feet long (1 inch wide satin ribbon tends to work well, please no plastic ribbon), choose whatever color feels symbolically appropriate for you.

It’s a high feast day! Following the ritual we will enjoy a pitch-in meal. For the sake of ease, if your name begins with the letters A-M please bring an entree dish, if your name begins with N-S please bring a vegetable or fruit dish, if your name begins with T-Z feel free to bring a dessert or snack food. Beverages will be provided (water, cider, soft drinks).

Gathering and social time begins at 4:00pm. Pre-Ritual Intro's begins at at 4:30 pm, ritual starts at 5:00pm. Once the ritual has begun no late comers will be permitted to enter the room until the doors are opened again at the end of the ritual.

This ritual is being offered at a fee of $30 per person. Please let us know if you need a sliding scale or scholarship - NO ONE IS EVER TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF FUNDS.

LOCATION: 2 Elm Street, Malden, MA - First Parish of Malden Unitarian Universalist Church. Steps from the MBTA Orange Line (Malden Center), ample free parking, wheelchair accessible!

All of our rituals, events and classes are open to the public, no prior attendance at any Cornucopia event is needed. Cornucopia is a pluralistic community, we value all! Any tradition or level of learning/experience is welcomed! Newcomers are always welcome!
