Learned some coding that was probably over my head otherwise. Enjoy the extra tidbits of knowledge that came out too.

Was over my head, but I enjoyed picking up some new vernacular. I look forward to more meetings. These are of great value!

As that article confirms, only data storage, not a hosting option...

Interesting... I thought it looked strange. I'm a big fan of simple, so I don't see the need. Mahalo

Erik, this is different.... I'm not sure about OblakSoft's implementation but WP Engine has been experimenting with this for some time. WPE's implementation caches your site 100% to S3 like a CDN. OblakSoft claiming to be first or entirely on S3 is strange, S3 is JUST file storage and it can't actually RUN WordPress... there would need to be something somewhere else to actually run the PHP and generate the html... Paul I'm interested if you want to share what you know about it?

Not sure what you mean Paul, but here's an article about Amazon S3 and a plugin that "backs up" to Amazon S3 (cloud storage).
    http://wp.smashingmagazine.com/...

Here's the plugin data for that:

    Hope that helps

OblakSoft is proud to introduce the 1st ever dynamic WordPress site running on top of Amazon S3: Yapixx. Now you too can launch your own beautiful website on Amazon S3.

can you explore this topic ?
