Sorry for the late notice, but wanted to share about this neat opportunity in DC.
Come join us in the showing of ?They Call it Myanmar ? Lifting The Curtain?. A 1 hr 10 min documentary showing a country ?lost? in time as it has been cut off from the world for about 40 years. The film shows the country?s ethnic diversity (132 languages spoken), its challenges (slavery, child labor, subsistence wages, almost non-existent health care etc?) as well as its peoples speaking about the future.
Discussion at Asia Nine (915 E Street Northwest, Washington, DC (202)[masked]) at 6:00pm and the showing is at 7:00pm at E Street Cinema [masked]th Street Northwest, Washington, DC (202)[masked])
