The Metro East Atheist Network (MEAN) is a growing group of non-believers, skeptics, and critical thinkers that began in 2011 that provides an opportunity to get together, make new friends, and discuss philosophy, theology, science, politics, morals, ethics, or whatever we like.
M.E.A.N. is always open to newcomers and our activities vary from social gatherings, game nights, movie watching, to road trips. Sorry, those of the deistic or theistic persuasion will not be accepted; however, if you are open to honest debate, some Meanies may be willing to oblige.
Although most atheists are quite independent and critical thinkers, sometimes it just feels great to be around others you can speak openly with on topics that most find to be taboo or sensitive.
Thank you for your interest. Be well.
Note:At this time, M.E.A.N. is looking for a co-organizer of community volunteering, charity work, and family friendly activities. Such activities might occur once a month or bi-monthly. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
