Love (dinner and discussion)

One of the benefits of practical philosophy is to compel us to unpack and explore some of the most elusive and powerful aspects of life, and to question our thoughts, words and actions with regards to being more conscious in these areas. This event will provide the opportunity to delve into some interesting sub-topics within this theme from a practical perspective, and romantic love will be but one of the areas which will be covered. As usual, our facilitators will be provided with thought-provoking questions to fuel the discussions.

This topic is being repeated for those who were unable to attend the first 'Love' event. The official topic for March is 'Self-awareness' which will also be scheduled soon.

Food for Thought Page

We encourage all of our members to check out some of the Food for Thought videos prior to our events (two of which are included at the top of this page). These videos provide some common ground and a great way to break the ice with new members.

Facilitator Information

As previously mentioned, our members take turns helping to facilitate our discussions. We require one discussion facilitator for each table of 6 people but I doubt that we`ll have a problem finding volunteers.

Coordinator Information

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend this event in person but I will be coordinating it to run just as smoothly as the events which I'm able to attend in person. (The Meetup system automatically adds me to the RSVP list when I upload the events but I eventually remove my RSVP as soon as people sign up).

If you would like to attend this event then you need to sign up as a member and RSVP for this event on-line through this website only. Please do not show up in person if you haven't signed up since there are limited seats available and this will cause confusion.

Please try to arrive on time (in consideration of your fellow attendees). Don't be shy to sign up to this event since I'll cancel and provide refunds if less than 6 people sign up. I will book an additional table of 6 people if there is enough interest in this event.

The discussions will begin once people have settled and have ordered their drinks/food.

Some very thought provoking discussions - the concept of unconditional love caused some rumination. Three new members there out of five, and all were quite open in their responses and sharing examples from their own lives and personal experiences. Great to meet you, Sandre, Joanne, Tina, and Peter!

Hello Elena, unfortunately this event is now full and I see that you didn't RSVP for this one. We need to maintain the RSVP list in order to keep track of the numbers and we don't have more than 6 people for these events (unless there are multiple tables of 6).

Is this the same discussion as the previous one? Why?
