Grass Fed Steer Share From Spring Lake Farms

Our beef as always has been completely grass-fed. Our cows are part Simmental, Hereford, Angus & Highland.

Steer shares tend to provide more steaks than the beef boxes. Each share is going to be 1/12 of the steer. The steer had a hanging weight of 508 lbs and we will split as evenly as possible.  The cost of each share is $231.01 $219.5 for the beef, $6.52 paypal fee, $5.00 meet-up fees. If you want more than than 1 share, please RSVP for yourself +1,2,3,4, etc. For example, if you want 3 shares-- RSVP for yourself plus 2 guests.

If you want half a share: you can use our meatshare forum to find someone to share with or feel free to message me or I will pair people up on a first come first served basis.

If you would like your meat delivered to you in NYC please add $16 onto your paypal total WHEN YOU CHECKOUT. Delivery will take place from 4-6pm. The farmer's will call you when they are getting close to your place. Therefore, your paypal amount will be $247.02

IF YOU ARE GETTING DELIVERY YOU MUST DO 3 THINGS:

1) PAYPAL IN ADVANCE FOR DELIVERY - WHEN YOU RSVP

2) PROVIDE YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, AND PHONE # WHEN YOU RSVP.  PLUS ANY AMPLIFYING INSTRUCTIONS (I.E. -  "my bell doesn't work, call me when you arrive).

3)  BE AT YOUR ADDRESS WITH YOUR PHONE WORKING FROM 4-6PM ON DELIVERY DAY

Jessica, I will ask the farmer to make up a half box for you if you can pick it up from 43rd st. I have meetings for the rest of the day so I cannot check before 8pm.

Jessica, the farmer might be able to do one more if anyone is interested. We are going to wipe them out of meat.

      Jahred,
We have sold out this steer, but I can reach out to the farmer to see if he can do a few beef grab bags.

No worries, I will try the pork and beef sampler. It looks pretty good too.

I am very confused. Don't know if my payment went through. I charged 247.02. Can you check on this for me?

It shouldn't allow you to sign up without payment, but I will check with Jeanne

Does the meet come frozen? And either way is it packed with ice?

    April 1, 2013

    • michael s

Its packed frozen. It will be frozen solid when you receive it.

do you have a rough guestimate of how much each box should weigh?

    April 1, 2013

    • michael s

My best guess would be about 25-30lbs. The farmers have not picked up the steer yet so I cannot be precise on it.

what are the kinds of things that are in the box? does the hanging weight include bones? do we get any organ meat or bones??
I'm definitely spoiled from the last meet up!

The hanging weight includes the bones. We should get the whole animal

      March 31, 2013

    • michael s

We get the whole animal in approximate thirds of ground beef, roasts and steaks. I prefer the steer share because its always fresher and you get a whole lot more steaks.
