WMA Practitioner
I've been doing sport combat for the last 12 years, and am now looking to actually learn how to fight. WMA (western martial arts) is the perfect outlet for this.
A group of academics looking to bridge the gap between WMA and medieval recreation.

Thank you. I'll check out the book. Currently I have Clements' Medieval Swordsmanship book. Nothing specific, just trying to get the feel of fighting two handed (and not like the kendo style). I'm also in search of a better sword simulator as I see others are as well from the other threads. Shinai are great to start with, but am thinking that a steel combatant may be better served to practice with something heftier than a shinai if not their steel sword.
Greetings to all
i am definitely going to try to. unfortunately between school and 3 jobs, my days/evenings are quite filled.
I'm looking forward to checking out more WMA as soon as I have a clear Sunday!
I'll be there on the 16th at 7PM
I run dances from Playford, Arbaeu, Coroso, and Negri and a few SCA modern adaptations which can be cut if need be from events ran by EoCS
