Free to the public, and open to all, this chanting class teaches you to chant in Sanskrit. Among the chants practiced are the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita.
Chanting is a big part of traditional yoga practice. There are many different types of Sanskrit chants that can be recited.
Chanting helps calm the mind and bring a peaceful vibrational energy to the body.
This class will be guided using various methods for practicing proper pronunciation, such as call and response and repetition.
No previous experience is necessary.
Optional resources may be used, so you may want to bring a copy of the Bhagavad Gita and The Yoga Sutras. Both are available at The Yoga Shala Boutique and online.
This is a FREE class open to anyone, member or non-member of The Yoga Shala
