Meditation for Peace

As Buddhist, you are probably already aware of the beneficial effect meditation has on you physically, mentally, and emotionally. You also might have noticed that your meditation experience is stronger when shared with others. This is because meditation is known to be more powerful in a group than as an individual. Amazingly, group meditation has also been shown to have the capacity to decrease worldwide violence when an area in distress is the prime focus of a group meditation.

On the evening of Friday, July 25th, at 7pm, Dharmasuri will lead us in a special meditation and chant focused on cultivating peace, healing, and loving kindness between war torn Israel and Palestine.

This is a good place to bring the feelings of turmoil and powerlessness that this unrest brings up for all of us. The more people who attend this meditation, the more powerful it will be. The contribution of your energy is immeasurable.

I'm so happy that this meditation is taking place today - It is also the 'Day Out of Time' in the Dreamspell Wizard's Count of Days! Please ground forgiving energy for all beings in my honor, as I will be heading away on vacation.

Meetup has allowed me to meet people I wouldn't have met naturally - they're totally different than me.
