What we’re about
Meditation is often defined as taking a moment to sit quietly or to ponder. True meditation, however is much more than this. It is state of profound, deep peace that occurs when the mind is calm and silent, yet completely alert. This is just the beginning of an inner transformation that takes us to a higher level of awareness. This enables us to fulfill our true human potential. The problem, of course, is how to achieve this state.
Within every human being there is a subtle system of three channels and seven energy centers. At the root of this system lies a creative, protective and nurturing power which is a dormant, maternal energy. When this power is awakened within us, it rises spontaneously through the central channel. It passes through each of the energy centers and emits from the fontanelle bone area on top of the head. The energy can actually be felt on top of the head and on the palms of the hands. Any imbalances in the subtle system can be felt on various parts of each hand. Through Sahaja Yoga Meditation one can learn, not only how to diagnose and decode the state of one's own inner subtle system, but one can also learn very simple cleansing techniques to rebalance oneself.
Our classes are always free of charge. The volunteers who lead our classes have found inner peace and joy from practicing Sahaja Yoga Meditation and wish to share the experience with others.

Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a unique energy-based meditation that allows you to achieve the state of thoughtless awareness, a state in which your mind is calmed and gradually emptied of distractions and stressful thoughts. This Meditation is easy to learn and can be practiced almost anywhere. Our meditation class is open to anyone who is interested in learning how to find peace within. In each of our classes, while seated comfortably in chairs, we will:
- Perform a guided meditation led by one of many experienced, self-realized volunteers
- Learn about our innate subtle system of Channels and Chakras
- Learn about and raise the Kundalini energy that enlightens our centers
- Learn and use Chakra cleansing techniques
- Listen to other group members share their experience
- Share your own experience if and when you are comfortable
- Learn how to apply simple and practical techniques that bring meditation into your daily lives
The classes are always free. There is nothing to bring but an open heart.
