Meet with Ajahn Sarayut to learn the history, traditions and practices of Buddhism. Focus will be on Theravada but all traditions will be discussed as fully as the group desires. The primary teacher was born in Thailand and has been a monk for 25 years and now resides in Tucson. Guest speakers will be sought from other traditions and experiences. The idea is to give lay people an opportunity to learn and discuss Buddhism regularly and directly with a monk who has spent a lifetime training as a practitioner and a teacher. No need to call yourself a Buddhist, just explore a new world and have fun while you learn. Open class, no RSVP needed. Every Wednesday, 6-7:45 p.m.
***The temple is the place of worship. Please avoid wearing shorts three inches above the knees or sleeveless shirts.
Like all our programs, the class is offered freely to the community, though donations are always appreciated.
