Celtic music at Voices Cafe!

THE TANNAHILL WEAVERS at Voices Café
Saturday, April 13 at 8:00pm
This dynamic quartet play Scottish traditional music at its best. The band’s potent mixture of traditional ballads and fiery instrumentals leaves their audiences spellbound. As tight and versatile as any band in the Celtic music scene, the Tannahills can summon rock-n-roll intensity or haunting introspection.
Voices Café is located at The Unitarian Church in Westport, 10 Lyons Plains Road, Westport CT, Tickets are $20 in advance, and may be purchased at http://www.voicescafe.org.

For additional information about The Tannahill Weavers and music samples, please visit: www.tannahillweavers.com.
"Over the years the Tannies have been trailblazers for Scottish music, and their tight harmonies and powerful, inventive arrangements have won them fans from all over the world. The band is one of a kind." -The Desert Shamrack, Scottsdale, AZ
"An especially eloquent mixture of the old and the new."
-New York Times

Well Dave, they were going to shut this group down in 24 hours (68) members if no-one volunteered! So with you and many other music performers plus fans, we will give The Fairfield Music Group an awesome venue of diverse musical talents ASAP.

It was high energy, funny, hand-clapping music from the Tannies for 150 people at Voices Cafe last night.

    Hey meetup folks,
We've reserved a table at Voices Cafe for the Tannahill Weavers! Look for the table with a sign- RESERVED FOR MEETUPS on it. Bring appetizers and wine to share. It's like an indoor picnic. Coffee and desserts for sale at intermission. It's gonna be a wonderful evening of music. I can't wait to hear the Tannies LIVE!!

For a Celtic band I hear these guys can rock! Great acoustics and ambiance at this venue. Looking forward to it!

A friend of mine just told me "Celtic music. I love it, it's enchanting....mystic and fun." Like most Voices Cafe monthly concerts, this one too should be sold out, but probably sooner than most.

There's a word in the "music grapevine" that the Tannahill Weavers are playing the night before nearby for $30 per ticket, so Voices Cafe is a bargan. Plus Voices is truely a cafe with round tables seating 8 with a BYOB (white, red, or whatever). This sounds like a concert not to be missed. Will a Meetup table be set up if enough folks from the Fairfield Music Meetup or other Meetups can make it?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
