I'm a member of Melbourne Sinfonia, an auxiliary of the Royal Children's Hospital - perhaps the only hospital with its own symphony orchestra! We perform regular concerts to a high standard, and raise money for the Hospital's Gatehouse centre which provides counselling & support services to abused children and adolescents.
I thought I'd share details of our next concert on Friday, 29 November:
* Brahms Variations on a Theme by Haydn (Saint Anthony Variations)
* César Franck Variations Symphoniques
* Mendelssohn Symphony No. 4 "The Italian"
The concert is at MLC in Kew - enter the school via the main driveway on Barkers Road. Parking is available in the two carparks and on surrounding streets.
Tickets can be purchased at the door at standard prices, or online at a discount (available closer to the date!):
* Adults $26
* Students (under 25 yrs): $13
* Children 16 & under: free
Thanks for reading, and thanks again to Cath for allowing me to post this. Please ask if you have any questions :-)
