Starting your own business or taking up a commercial opportunity around an idea or invention has pitfalls and challenges, the most important of which are not covered in traditional seminars and education programs.

‘What they don’t teach you at startup boot camps and business school!’ workshop/seminar is for practical people who want to proceed with a sense for the reality of managing a new venture.

This is a 2 hr seminar/workshop for individuals considering entering into a new venture. The session is split into two parts; The first covers general topics described in this flyer, along with a key topic of the month covered in the second part. Most seminars do not cover what you really need to know when navigating through the minefield of new business. Of course the basics of IP, Tax, Trusts and Business Plans are necessary, but they are less than 15% of the reality of what you will need to deal with.

In the years that I have been involved with new ventures, I have found that there is no shortage of seminars, education programs and books on business plans, raising capital, marketing or accounting.

In the years that I have been involved with new ventures, I have found that there is no shortage of seminars, education programs and books on business planning, raising capital, marketing or accounting. And whilst all these things are important, in themselves do not ‘a great business make’.

Topics covered include;

- How to work out the value of the opportunity for you.

- What needs to be discussed with your wife/husband/life partner

- Rasing capital pitfalls

- Technology illusions and the reality of app based businesses.

- Protecting your personal assets

- Managing the RISK

- Pitching your idea to get results

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
