Favourite band(s) currently/recently on tour?

I saw The Meanies last week at the Barwon Club in Geelong. A venue that I have seen many a band at. Before that my recent band was the Black Angels at The Palace.

Best show you've ever seen?

Probably the Sex Pistols in about 1995. B4 that it was TISM's first show in Geelong at the Barwon Club with Johnny Teen & the Broken Hearts as support act. It was just one of those nights. Or Stray Cats in Perth in about '90. Up the front with beers

Most embarrassing concert you've ever paid your own money to see?

Kylie Minogue Showgirl tour about 5 years ago. It was a gift for my (now ex) wife's birthday. The concert was originally to be on my wife's birthday which was also Kylie's Birthday. But Kylie got cancer & cancelled the concert tour so the tour was postponed. Kylie has some OK songs if you're drunk in a normal nightclub so it wasn't too cringe worthy. I think some of my other music experiences has cleansed my soul though. Please forgive me.

Well I'm a bit of an old hand (47 but far from over the hill) at indie bands. I saw the Hard Ons just recently & after the gig I said to the lead singer the last time I saw them was in 1988. He said sorry for taking so f' en long. Hope to c u soon

What Gavin J. is saying about this Meetup Group

I had my first night out with this group last night & it was really good. The Sandpebbles were awesome & the company was good too. If you like your indi music but struggle to find friends to join you at gigs this group is a great way to enjoy your live music with like minded friends. I highly recommend it. Gavin Sept 2011
