eCommerce for Success - Joomla with Mijoshop

Presenter : Max Lynam from Molehill Webworks

MijoShop is a turn-key ready "out of the box" shopping cart and e-Commerce component for Joomla.

It is the integration of two of the most popular open source projects in the world: OpenCart and Joomla!. It's a native Joomla component (not bridge/iframe) and OpenCart is inside.

Parking is available on the streets just near by on William and Park Streets, as well as east down ~15 Wakefield street multi-level commercial carpark.

The map link is correct for those of you needing directions.

Didn't catch the name of the guy that's just done the 29 translations. Want to check it's with FaLang to help answer

      Hi Patrick,
It was me "Alastair Coleman" who posted the question and found the answer.
Thanks for the chase up though.
FaLang is great is you know how to use Joomfish.
The only difference is when you install the languages, which is now even easier than ever thanks to Joomla 3.
The only thing that is a major diffrence is thay it forces the language URL, so your home page has to be something like ".com/en"

Excellent Max. All has been confirmed and the night will be around general discussion and issues related directly with Mijoshop but we will leave an open time for any related items of course.

I'm not sure this has been bedded down yet but I am keen on the night to hear Max's thoughts on Mijoshop's new direction and how that changes if at all the shopping cart hierarchy.

Hey there all ... I believe the eCommerce workshop is going forward as planned ... I will be discussing eCommerce in general, as well as what I understand is happening with MijoShop.
Post here or @MaxOnTheHill to let me know what you want during the session and any specific points you'd like me to cover.

Thanks Max, particularly interested in Payment gateways. I have a client who wants to use the Bendigo Bank for client payments which in turn uses the MasterCard Internet Gateway Service. It is new territory for me as Paypal is the extent of my experience thus far and any general advice on the night would be welcome.

This topic might need to change... mijoshop has just announced that they will no longer be using OpenCart as their core

Will look into this today at some stage and update all tomorrow. I am also concerned with where it may lead - hopefully to a better product. Quite happy with the whole Mijosoft products and the direction to date.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
