Joomla's just turned 8, and has come a long way from 1.0.0. With Joomla 3.2 around the corner, and 3.1.5 currently stable enough to be used for production sites, it's time to revisit what's new, what's coming, and how to do some of the things you're not sure of or have misplaced when you've looked into Joomla 3 (or perhaps have not gotten around to looking at just yet).
In Joomla 3.2, one of the biggest features being rolled out is Versioning, along with some UX improvements, template manager improvements and potentially the long awaited launch of Joomla's extension store - where you can browse for and install extensions from the back end of your Joomla site. View an overview of what's forecast for the next Joomla version.
Patrick Jackson will direct a Q&A and we'll bring up hopefully two screens - preparing the answer to the next question while going through the one that's ready.
If you have questions you'd like us to answer on the night, include them in your RSVP so that we can prep some presentation slides on how to do things before the night!
Note: Previously promoted Joomlashine presentation has unfortunately needed to be cancelled.
Parking is available on the streets just near by on William and Park Streets, as well as east down ~15 Wakefield street multi-level commercial carpark.
