Thanks Brittany!
Brittany, thank you for your greeting! I also look forward to meeting you all. I'm happy to share anything I know that might be useful to others. I'm especially excited to meet new people who value exercising their creativity! See you soon, Lilli
Hi Brittany!
It was great attending my first group a few weeks ago. I've been out of town for the last few weekends, hence my absence from the meetups. I look forward to seeing you again once they resume. If people are interested, I'd like to help organize a session / material share devoted to collage/decoupa
ge (or papery fun in general).
take care!
Kayla
ps I think I mentioned this but if you need help mounting any of your work, I can definitely hook you up.
Hi Brittany,
Thanks for your message. I'm a big fan of artchixstudio.c
om, which sells paperboard shrine and arch shapes that can be embellished. They also sell lots of other fun stuff for papercrafting and jewelry making.
Hi Brittany! Thanks for your message - I so wanted to join you today, and I hope you and the creative gang had great time. I'm looking forward to meeting you, and knitting (or any other fun thing) up a storm with new friends!
I noticed Smoken Joe's BBQ and BLUES in Brighton, 351 Washington St., has an Acoustic Folk, Blues, and Blue grass jam on sundays at 7pm with Geoff Bartley and friends [One of the venues "Smoken' Resident Artists" .. if you go to the venue, *there are leaflets available at the venue, with the months music schedule.
Where do you go for Acoustic Jams?! I've been frequently Electric Blues Venues, mostly in the South Shore where I grew up. But, want to try out some local places .. The Tap in Haverhill on Sundays at 5pm? has a Blues jam ... there is one in Acton on thurs. Just went to Smoken Joe's BBQ and Blues on Tuesdays, in Brighton ... that is FUN! Great FOOD and a blast, no cover on tues., parking in the back , or street. And I've been to Johnny D's .... Pattie
It's very OK, to charge a small fee to keep up your group [a lot of groups, either charge say a $5 yearly fee, or a buck or 2 per meeting]. You must pay the organizer fee, and any extra materials. I still hope to attend sometime: I've been enjoying my empty nest status, and going out a LOT! Lol ...
Hi Brittany, Thanks for accepting me to the group. As to your question, the ornament and flowers on my profile pictures are made of YuYi clay, a type of air-dry polymer clay. I will go into more details at the meeting how it is made.
Richard
