  Welcome to our group - we have a few others who are recovering from religion. Maybe you have followed the news about discovery of the abuse of thousands of children, the most terrible cruelty in Ireland during the latter part of the 20th century, perpetrated by the catholic church. Cruelty proven in court it. I often wonder how people can still support that organisation.

  Hi Robin - welcome to the group. While I believe we do have members of the group who live on the Gold Coast, I'm not sure that any of them attend the montly meetups. However, I've posted a note on the forum in case there is anyone who can give you a lift. Even if you can't attend monthly meet ups - lots of our members can't attend for various reasons - you can still participate in the group via the Message Board forums.
