  i use some of those flashing red bicycle lights. i'm not sure they are "technically" the correct thing but i haven't had a problem anywhere i've used them, including nockamixen. i am going to try a battery powered lantern (flashlight aisle) on the bow tonight and a flasher on the stern.

  Good hiking with you. I'm working on posting my spring hikes. Right now it looks like Broad Mt. loop on March 7th and Dry Gap/Fall Gap, SGL38 on March 21st. AT with Off Trail Rock Scrambles on April 10th and Blue Mt Rock Spine Scramble on April 18th. Hope to see you again.
