Truth be told that is my sister's dog, Cosmo. I have a kitty, not into hiking, but he loves bird watching, which is a sport he and I enjoy together! I want to go to Shriners Peak probably around Sept 1st, but only if weather is good. The views are suppose to be spectacular, so I don't want to make the climb, if no view will be available due to clouds. We have all of Sept to wait for a great weather day. I will let you know. And post on this meetup the day I plan to go. Deb
I have not hiked the olympics much but another great trail in the lena lake area is Charles Putvin. I would love to go hiking tuesday but I am employed m-f and do not have the time line to do midweek hikes. A nice trail in the olympia area I love to take roland is tolmie park. Ever hear of skijoring, its kinda like dog mushing but on cross country skis. I am looking to meet friends who would like to go down the white pass and do some cc skiing and snowshowing, dogs allowed at night.
