re: Flat hikes with water. Look for my Eaton Canyon and Switzer Falls hikes coming up in April. They both have flat parts WITH water :-)
Hi Agnes, welcome to the "BEST HIKES of SoCal" Meetup Group. Looking forward to seeing you on one of our hikes soon ... KazMo :-}
First peak- Mt Lee Don't know the degree of incline but it is 45min steep, 30min flat, then 30-45 steep. Continuous for about 1 1/2 hrs (approx 3mi one way).
No spiked shoes needed but you can bring a walking stick if you have one. I don't find them necessary. Once we reach Mt Lee we will rest then continue to Cahuenga Peak (the highest in Griffith Park) It is another 3 miles round trip. You don't have to do this part. Others will only go to the sign then turn around and go back.
re: Griffith Park It is steep, then flat, then steep again. This is just the first peak. The second will be difficult for beginners, especially after they've finished the first part. You can always do what you can then turn around :-)
Hi and thank you for joining us, come on out to some of our events . we have a number of different things going on
