  Christine,
  At the last meeting, Krista mentioned the book "Dune" by Herbert. Another person in one of my other groups had mentioned this same book the previous week. When I began reading this masterpiece of fiction, I thought of the beginning of your story. Because Herbert's story is of other worlds with alien people, the beginning is difficult for me to get into and understand. Actually, your story was easier to get into. I guess all fiction of this type must begin like this.
