  • Also, I got this info from a MOTHER EARTH NEWS article in the late 60's or early 70's, I forget which year. Should be in their archives. I am also a biologist and master gardener. Blessings!! the Katy Bear

  • Dear Wesley,

I'm trying to answer your post on the preppers' group. Cows are the least efficient of all domestic animal meat producers. One well-fed rabbit doe can produce more pounds of meat in one year than the very best beef cow of the very best breed. Goats produce more offspring and healthier milk than cows, can pack stuff for camping trips, and can be taught to walk on a leash or follow humans in a day or two when young. All domestic food animals produce more than do cattle.

  • Hi Wesley sorry for the late greetings. Welcome to Austin Objectivists. We are wrapping up our book club. It's never too late to join since the chapters are essentially stand alone. We are also discussing which book we'd like to do next. Meetings are the best way to get involved in that choice. Also, I'm planning a pub quiz some time in March. Check out our calendar for more details. Hope to see you around!
