  • Thanks for the greeting, Larry. I think it's nice that it's a small group--makes it easier to get to know people on a more intimate level.

  • Larry, if you don't want to bring food, that's cool... I think I got us mostly covered. I plan on making a huge salad (pasta w/ tuna and peas or wheatberry (it's a whole grain, tastes like cous cous) w/red onions, feta and kale, vinegar sauce or BOTH, as I can use leftovers to eat at home) + sliced french bread w/ brie cheese and maybe some bubbly... seltzer and a bit of champagne. I enjoy cooking in bulk and like I said, can always eat leftovers at home.

  • Larry- I got your message about not liking Indian food. So after this meetup, I will host them somewhere else... The diner is always good, but what other types of food are you open to? Italian? Chinese? Thai? Just wondering. I want to host it somewhere you will come, seeing as how you are one of the more constant and active members. Let me know, Elisabeth

  • Larry, I am sorry that you had to experience feeling slighted.I hate that feeling. It isn't valid because I didn't get your response of which I really would like to read.I am struggling to understand myself and my son. I am signing up for a seminar in November, I read all I can and we have just gotten new psychiatrists. I go into such deep isolation unable to relate to anyone about my son and with each day that goes by he is so angry at me it scares me to feel so helpless.Your words are valued

  • Thank you so much Larry for that information. Unfortunately I had an older cousin, who would be around 50 now, who was diagnosed as schizophenia when he was in elementary or middle school and sent to an institution and died at a early age. I always felt by what my mom has told me that he could have been bipolar and treated incorrectly. It's so sad because my sons are doing well with their meds. and constant care, that he could of also. I will definately read more about schizoaffective disorder

  • Hi Larry,
May I ask? Can you have bipolar and schizoaffective disorders at the same time, or were you diagnosed with one first then it changed to the other. I'm a little confused, and what is the difference.
