    Hi Toni and thanks for your interest. Unfortunately this would not be a beginner trip as posted. The water can turn rough if the winds pick up and the inlet area can also get rough. I am sure we could add an alternative trip just staying close to shore as an intro to this kind of kayaking for beginners. Also I have never paddled with anyone using an ocean kayak before so I don't know how comfortable they are. I have seen them in the ocean on waves so I know they are very stable. Hope this helps.
