Thanks for getting back with me, I'm really excited about this group! I do actually live in Portland, just moved here a month ago! Thanks for giving me a heads up about my outdated profile :) Anyway, I'm excited to join the fun, but wondering if its possible to be late to events... it looks like you all meet up on weeknights, and I work pretty late/commute pretty far... If being late is alright with you and the other poets, let me know, and i'll try and make it to the next meeting! -

Hi Shawn - I thought that image with the bee was really moving, it won't leave my mind. I look forward to the whole poem. I am also very moved by old people, the hidden personal history and wisdom they represent - I have a section with an old lady that just died in my novel "everything" that appears to match the mood of your projected poem. Also, I have to confess that I had not connected you in the meeting with you on this board until just now. :)
