  Welcome. Let me tell you what to expect...a different world! I haven't made it out west yet but I see the videos with all the fluffy powder...yeah we don't have that! Most important tip is that the snow is wetter and icier so it's fast and doesn't provide much cushion when you hit the ground. The mountains are smaller and the runs are shorter, but it's always a good time. Welcome to the east.

  I heard Wonderland was a cool place. Toby is a sniffer so I don't think his nose will leave the ground the entire time we're there LOL. I moved up here from Raleigh, NC. I came to Rockville MD and didn't really like it, too suburban. That's why I picked Dupont area. I'm hoping to meet a lot of young and cool people looking to have a good time. Good luck settling in. Check out Montrose Park. It's a great place and there is a large creek at the bottom of the trail for Cowboy to cool off!

  Leaving 9/3 back 9/10. I go every 2-3 years - my mother and step-dad have a timeshare there - Sheraton Desert Oasis. Rezzies at Roaring Fork (which I love), Cowboy Ciao, The Mission, Mastro's, Sassi, Bloom, and Spotted Donkey - for now. No plans yet for lunch. Any cool places? Hit me back at [masked]!! :)

  Hey Whitney... did you make it out to the HH last eve? I'm off to Scottsdale on the 3rd of September for a week (go every other yr to play some golf) and was hoping a local had some killer in-the-know restaurants/eats.

  Hey Whitney, welcome to the city. At the moment I am trying to do as much as I can here before time passes me by. I am trying to start a BUZZ for Kostume Karaoke at Sully's Tavern. It has received an Editor's Choice pick from the Washington Post as the Karaoke Spot for Metro DC. The idea here is that you pick your song AND you get a costume to go with!! Please try to spread the word if you can and maybe we all can make this happen. I hope you enjoy your time out and good seeing you here.

  Hey Whitney,

  Scottsdale is a nice area. I bet your not missing the heat out there. Have you tried the S Street Dog Park, at 17th Street NW and New Hampshire Avenue? I'm moving down to Dupont circle in 2 weeks and I saw that park from the street while visiting. It looked really nice.

  There is always Rockcreek park too but you have to keep a leash on over there. Let me know if you and any other dog owners want to check it out! Shawn
