  Hey Joseph, I have had similar experiences during my brief time with the Mpls/StPaul Portuguese club. While it is a good group overall but my first introduction to the group was very intimidating. One is thrust into exercises that don't take into account ones limited skill level. There were some definate advanced members who could very easily belittle people if the pronunciation wasn't right on. I think the group should have addressed the varying levels of skill and separated them accordingly.
